The Dry Canyon Community Art Center has become a cornerstone for artistic growth and community connection in Redmond. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of an angel investor, the historic Rogers & Lynch building at 415 SW 6th Street is now a welcoming home for art, artists, and learning in Central Oregon.

Opportunities for Artists and the Community
 

With 300 members and growing, the Dry Canyon Arts Association is dedicated to showcasing local artistic talent. Artists are invited to display their work in the galleries and gift shop on a rotating basis. The center also creates scheduled opportunities for non-members—including students, veterans, and the public—to exhibit their art.

This vibrant space is designed for creativity, connection, and expression. Residents of all ages and skill levels can gather to explore and grow their artistic talents through classes, workshops, and inspiring exhibitions that spark ideas and encourage collaboration.

The vision for the Dry Canyon Community Art Center goes beyond providing a beautiful physical space. It is about igniting a lasting passion for the arts and creating a welcoming place for cultural enrichment, conversation, and community. The team behind this initiative is working hard to build an environment where creativity can flourish.

The Art Center currently spans 3,000 square feet of beautifully designed, high-ceilinged space, including an art gallery, gift gallery, and classroom. This inspiring venue gives artists and visitors room to explore, create, and connect. In September 2026, we will acquire an additional 1,400 square feet to renovate into expanded classroom space, with plans underway for a ceramics room, kiln room, and two classrooms.

Located at 415 SW 6th Street, Redmond’s main thoroughfare, the center benefits from strong vehicle and pedestrian visibility. Large panoramic windows open onto the sidewalk, inviting passersby to step inside and experience the creativity of local artists. The location is also within walking distance of downtown Redmond’s vibrant restaurant scene, making it an accessible and welcoming destination for both locals and visitors.

Funding

The Dry Canyon Community Art Center relies on a mix of funding sources to sustain operations and grow its programs, including:

 

• Membership fees and individual donations

• Program fees and commissions on art sales

• Business and corporate sponsorships

• Public and private grants

The Dry Canyon Arts Association Board of Directors will oversee the development of policies and procedures to help the center operate with transparency and efficiency.
