CALL FOR ART!​​
Hello Artists,
This is the announcement that you have been waiting for! The grand opening of our Dry Canyon Community Art Center is December 5, 2025. We want to show the creativity of our members when we open the art center to the community.
You can submit art for either the Main Gallery, the Gift Gallery, or both. A separate submission is required for each gallery. Keep in mind that you will not be able to remove your art during the exhibitions.
Main Gallery: This call is for a two-month exhibit of 2-D and 3-D art, from December 5, 2025 to February 1, 2026. You can submit up to 3 pcs although only 1 piece might be accepted, depending on the number of submissions.
Gift Gallery: This is for a three-month exhibit of 2-D and 3-D art, from December 5, 2025 to March 1, 2026.
The gift gallery is for original pieces by artists, ranging from jewelry, prints, reproductions, greeting cards, stationery, and book arts to unique decorative objects.
Key Dates:
Submission Deadline – October 31, 2025
Notification Date – November 14, 2025
Intake Date – November 24, 2025 (starting at 10:00 am)
Exhibit Opening – December 5, 2025
Pick up Date (Main Gallery) – February 1, 2026 (starting at 10:00 am)
Pick up Date (Gift Gallery) – March 1, 2026 (starting at 10:00 am)

Submission Requirements:
Use the DCAA web site to make your submission.
1. Go to https://www.drycanyonarts.org/art-center-art-submission-list
2. Review the Exhibit Submission Guidelines.
3. Fill in the online form to submit works for consideration. List your pieces in priority order. Click the SUBMIT button.
- Pieces in the Main Gallery may be marked “Not for Sale.” All pieces in the Gift Gallery must be for sale. Keep in mind that there is a 30% commission when determining your asking price
- Resize and name your artwork images (lastname-firstname-title.jpg). Limit your image size to 500KB max. The online submittal program limits the size to 500KB Do a web search on how to resize your images on the device you use.
​Review and Notification Process:
The Art Center Exhibition Committee will review artist submissions. The committee’s goal is to have at last one piece from each artist displayed during the grand opening exhibition. Each artist will be notified of their invited art on November 14, 2025.
Art Intake and Hanging Process:
Artists deliver their art to the Art Center on November 24, 2025. The Exhibition Committee reserves the right not to accept items that do not meet Exhibition Submission Guidelines. The Committee will create price tags for exhibited art in both galleries and place art for the grand opening.
PLEASE NOTE: Artists are NOT REQUIRED to share gallery hosting duties however artists and others are greatly encouraged to volunteer to share this very important duty. Art Pick up Process:
Artists pick up their art from the Main Gallery on February 1, 2026. Artists pick up their art from the Gift Gallery on March 1, 2026. The Committee will send out a courtesy reminder. If an artist cannot pick up their art in person, they need to advise the Committee about who will be there to pick it up for them. The Art Center does not have room to store member art. Art left over 30 days will become the property of Dry Canyon Arts Association and may be disposed of.
