Sara Kaderlik

Bio:

Sara is a self taught fiber artist with many influences from other artists. She makes time in her busy schedule to create wonderful pieces on the loom and at the dye pot. She forages plants and flowers from her garden to eco print and create natural dyed yarn to weave and knit with. exploring the endless world of weaving is her passion and she continues to discover new techniques and interplay with fibers and colors. She participated in the WEGO traveling exhibit in 2023 and won the Weaving for the Home award at the 2023 ANWG conference.

Artist Statement:

I have been a fiber artist for over 20 years. I started knitting but found my real passion in hand weaving. Working at the loom with many different fibers inspires me to create one of a kind wearables as well as timeless home decor pieces such as hand towels, table runners, wall hangings and more.I work with cotton, silk, tencel, wool, alpaca and my own hand dyed and hand spun yarn. I also eco print silk scarves. This is an exciting process of printing leaves and flowers on naturally dyed fabric.
