The Dry Canyon Community Art Center is poised to become a cornerstone for artistic growth and community connection in Redmond. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of an angel investor, the historic Rogers & Lynch building at 405 SW 6th Street has been secured as the future home for this exciting initiative. The center will officially take possession of the building on August 1, with renovations planned over the following three months. A grand opening is targeted for November 7 ushering in a new era for the arts in our community.

Opportunities for Artists and the Community

With 185 members and growing fast, the Dry Canyon Arts Association is dedicated to showcasing the talents of its artists. Members will have the opportunity to display their work in the galleries and gift shop on a rotational basis. Moreover, the center is committed to community engagement, offering non-members - such as students, veterans, and the public - a chance to exhibit their art during scheduled opportunities.

This innovative space is designed to be a vibrant hub for creativity and expression, where residents of all ages and skill levels can come together to explore and nurture their artistic talents. The center will offer a diverse range of opportunities, including classes, workshops, and inspiring exhibitions. These programs will be tailored to engage the community, sparking inspiration and fostering collaboration among artists, enthusiasts, and the broader public.

The vision for the Dry Canyon Community Art Center goes beyond just providing a physical space; it aims to ignite a lasting passion for the arts and create a platform for cultural enrichment and dialogue. The team behind this initiative is working tirelessly to transform the building into a welcoming and dynamic environment where creativity can flourish.

We deeply appreciate the community's interest and support for this endeavor. As the project unfolds, regular updates will be shared to keep everyone informed about our progress. Be sure to sign up for our newsletters here. We eagerly anticipate celebrating the grand opening with all of you and beginning this artistic journey together.

about the space
About_the_space.jpg

The Art Center initially spans 3,000 square feet of beautifully designed high-ceiling spaces, offering three galleries, a gift shop, and two to three classrooms. This inspiring venue provides ample space for artists and visitors to explore, create, and connect. Over the next 18 months, plans are in place to expand the center by an additional 1,500 square feet of classroom space, further enriching its offerings.

Positioned on SW 6th Street, the main thoroughfare of Redmond, the center enjoys high levels of both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Its large panoramic windows, opening onto the sidewalk, invite passersby to step inside and experience the creativity of local artists. The location is within walking distance of downtown Redmond's vibrant restaurant scene, making it an accessible and welcoming destination for locals and visitors alike.
